There’s been enough people experiencing problems with this 1 particular enemy that I had to go off schedule. Ancient Dragon has been giving players some trouble (from the videos I’ve seen at least) because of its high stats compared to the other monsters in the area. It turns out he has also been causing the game to crash! Obviously this was not intended and has been fixed.
Since this is a sort of “emergency update”, there isn’t much new content to show. You get a glimpse of 2 new areas, but that’s about it. Although, you do get access to the new stuff that I’ve implemented already.
Menu Screen slowly fades in instead of suddenly appearing.
Map Guides - Arrows will appear on maps telling you where you can and can’t go. They will not appear on obvious transfer points like doors, stairs, etc.
Warding Charms - A new item that can be bought once you reach Chapter 2. This item prevents random encounters for a certain amount of steps.
Saturn Forest and the crossroads outside Planeptune have been given a makeover. Make sure you’re not saved in those areas before updating.
Some RPG Maker enemies have been replaced with Neptunia/Fairy Fencer enemies. Getting the images were a pain and is honestly the only reason why it took so long to put them in. Their stats and types have not been changed.
Finally are some bug fixes:
Ancient Dragon will no longer crash the game.
Fixed an issue with the BGM not going back to normal after beating the Chapter 4 midboss. If you’re still hearing the Boss Battle music, go to Arcadia to fix it.
Attempted to fix the HDD visual glitch. If it seriously offends you that the glitch exists, tell me so I can really devote some time into investigating.
Chapter 4 still has three more dungeons to go before being finished. v1.7.0 might only contain two of them, so that the updates aren’t too infrequent, but my bad Internet, combined with the increasing file size means I have to make each new release worth my time. May my Internet provider have mercy on me…
