Do not be misled by the long list of changes. The amount of new content for this release will be roughly the same as any other. However, given the nature of what was changed and how long it's been since the previous release (again, sorry about that), there's no harm done in listing all of them.
For those transferring their saves from an old version, please make sure you are NOT in the following areas before updating: Lower Lastation, Lowee (but indoors is fine), Dotenin Land Entrance.
[Gameplay]
Stat buff/debuff modifier lowered from 25% to 15%.
Plot Armor renamed to Exalt; healing effect increased from 10% to 20%
Blind Status removed.
Burn Status removed; replaced with Sap. Similar to Bleed, but uses Magic damage to trigger it's effect.
Rage Status changed. Effect has been completely altered. Now decreases Hit Accuracy like Blind, but also increases Critical chance.
Curse Status changed. Effect has been completely altered. Now increases susceptibility to other negative status effects. Also decreases Hit Accuracy, but not as much as Rage.
Antidote also cures Drain.
Corrective Glasses renamed to Bandage; cures Bleed and Sap.
Skype renamed to Discord; no changes to effect.
World Map parallax image is now handled by the game itself rather than through a plugin. (Not sure if this will break/has broken anything. Please let me know!)
[Graphics]
Hunter's Guild NPC has been replaced with Financier.
Retextured Battle HUD; the EXE Gauge now has a numerical indicator.
New character spritesheet for Vert. (Until I can figure out how to deal with asset theives without preventing players from importing their saves to newer versions, I won't be making any new ones for Noire, Blanc, etc.)
New set of icons for almost every skill.
New animations for a few skills.
Changed the Battle Background for Golden Beach.
Changed the face image for Honryuu. This will be her finalized design, for real this time.
Changed the icon representing Nature-type enemies.
Updated Level Up HUD.
[Characters]
Lots of skills have been tweaked, but what they're meant to do (e.g. deal damage/adding a buff or debuff/inflicting a state, etc.) should generally still stay the same.
Neptune, Noire, Blanc, Vert: Replaced their Ultra magic with far more interesting skills.
Neptune: Neptune Break reduced from 9 hits to 6 hits.
S-Sha: Jet Shot removed; replaced with Auto-Life. (Complete Rework coming soon.)
[Quality of Life]
Most skills will no longer trigger a preliminary animation when unleashed in order to speed up the "flow" of battles.
Skill icons now do a better job of indicating whether the skill is Physical/Magical/Non-Damaging/Has an Added Effect/etc. (Helpful especially when considering enemy skills. Still deciding on if full disclosure of what a skill does, i.e. adding more icons is a good thing.)
Certain pieces of equipment have been renamed in order to be somewhat more faithful to the original series.
Equipment icons can now be distinguished between Green (CPU/Candidate-exclusive Armor), Purple (Gold Third/Maker-exclusive Armor), and Orange (Character-specific Armor).
Items that cure status effects now show the icon of that status in their description. (May seem unecessary while in the overworld, but makes visual processing a lot faster during battles.)
Items/Weapons/Armor found in treasure chests now also display their corresponding icons.
Added more entries to the Help Guide. Existing entries have been cleaned up.
The list of Status Effects under the Help Guide now indicate their turn durations (if any).
More stuff to come soon such as the Character Profile for the final new Maker Character as well as a list of planned changes/additions for the next major release that couldn't make it into this one because of the hard drive thing I mentioned a while back.
For now, please enjoy this new (and hopefully not broken) release!
