Version 0.8.1 is live.


Fixes:

Battle:

-Fixed an issue with missing Tombstack animations

-Fixed special enemy names not displaying properly

-All &*___TWRE enemies now use Snowball as their temporary skill (or in the case of >>>>>>, completes them outright.)

-Removed a leftover test counter

-Fixed some conditionals so that themes play properly depending on location/enemy type encountered

XOR is now a more proper (and deadly) miniboss:

-Provided XOR with a unique theme

-XOR can now also use Hot Cheese and Waterhose alongside Esc Key

-On top of raising the base health of XOR, it now gets an additional 50 health from each challenger beaten, which should make it's potential max health around 20,000.

-XOR is now a selectable miniboss in the Party Select Debug menu

Misc:

-The music config of the options menu will no longer effect the title screen

Next up

While I chip away at the code for XL, I might as well show off the fruits of another thing I had tinkered with: modding custom music into Bionicle Heroes.

I know it's completely unintentional, but I swear this is the universe trying to convince me to dig my old handiwork out of retirement and do something with him.

Suppose it was rude to take down the demo and not at least show off something as compensation.

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

Mini Progress Update:

Motivation came back for a bit, so I figured I'd use it to bring Minibosses back into the fray

(Also working on a demo-specific sidequest that hands out powerups.)

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

Got a (mostly stable) demo ready for the occasion!
