Version D0.31 Update 1 released! (Update)

This update focuses on polishing the prologue, alongside fixing some bugs.

Change log:

Game:

  • Overhauled parts of the prologue.

  • Edited part of the dialogue.

  • Adjusted the message boxes so they are comfortable for players with big screens.

  • Changed some of the sounds.

  • Implemented a fade in for the music for some scenes.

  • Minor balancing changes.

  • Fixed a bug that would lock up the game when it tried to load a now removed face graphic.

  • Fixed a bug where the Steal skill wouldn’t work.

Northbridge:

  • Implemented a splash screen.

  • Removed Xceed WPF Toolkit from the launcher. This resulted in changing the slot selector.

Update: Released a revision for the update to fix a game-breaking bug. If you use the standalone version, you'll have to remove the game first before installing the fixed build. Apologies for the inconvenience.

A bit of an old but goodie coming back: Quick Load! In an upcoming update, you can jump back to where you left off with a push of a button.

While I'm preparing August's Monthly Sync, I'm preparing a Trello board for the game. You can see what I'm working on here. https://trello.com/b/CjFyzH50/immortal-sins-game-development Pardon my dust, while I'm getting this up and running.

It's still pretty early work, but I am working on making the UI more dynamic and sleek. Including faces changing depending on their HP.

A small teaser for the next update.

Implementing Armor Corrosion. This put quite a dent in the target's armor for a short time.

Wrote a tool that installs the game's dependencies. That means Northbridge will always use the latest version of the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime.

Added the option to rebuild the cache. This will clear the cache and then decompress the files from the packages.

Jump List returns in the next update.

Waz zis? An overhauled map? Yes. Coming soon.

Done some improvements to the backup system. Even added an icon to let you know that it's working.
