꒰What's this game about? ꒱
Crimson Lily Society, puts you in the shoes of Shion, a scholarship student navigating life in an elite University.
When an upperclassman’s kindness captivates you, a secret fraternity promises to fulfill your deepest romantic desires—at any cost.
‟How far will you go for love ? ❤”
It's up to you, the player to decide. Use the knowledge and skills from your major and this secretive fraternity to navigate the University's obstacles, get rid of your rivals and ultimately—win your crush's heart.
꒰ Disclaimer ꒱
The things I've shown and mentioned here are NOT final! and are subject to change- with plans to refine, adjust and polish.
Also, yes, the game does have elements inspired by other games- there's no denying that. However, it is by no means a direct copy of any of them.
꒰ State of the Game ꒱
This game is still in it's baby-stage of development. As my passion project, I'll always work on updates when I can.
A demo will be released when all the core things are ready, which include;
1 Official Rival (Excluding the tutorial one.)
2 Playable Majors (English & Biology)
Time skipping (Attending class skips to a later time in the day, sleeping at night gets you to the next day.)
Well-rounded battle system
Various elimination methods (Lethal & Nonlethal)
And of course, more features and improvements where possible.
You're probably curious- What do I have during this baby-stage so far?
꒰ Features ꒱
Choose your Major!
Each major is a different class, which means different skill types and benefits during battles. You also gain specific traits and benefits in the overworld, exploration. Let me show you an example:
English Major
During battle, you have English Major-themed skills, such as Verbal Strike and Converse.
For overworld and exploration, you also gain special dialogue choices that can help you befriend NPCs and build reputation easier. Since you're an English Major, surely you have a way with words, right?
Sanity-based Battle System!
As of now, Sanity is a feature in battle, where it remains as a meter to be targetted only by Skills. Lowering your enemies' sanity to a certain point leads to your victory. Vice versa; your sanity lowering to a certain point should be a warning, as getting it to 0 is an instant GAME OVER. Try escaping the battle if it's too much to handle!
Of course, you can Attack your enemies, where the HP meter gets targetted. You can attack only if you have a weapon in your inventory. So Attack will be sealed until you have a weapon equipped, which can also be done during battle (Equipping uses a turn!). Just like for sanity, HP reaching 0 is an instant defeat and vice versa.
‟So, what strategy should I do during battles?”
Keep in mind: Skills = Non-Lethal while Attacks = Lethal. Each method has its lasting effects and consequences. Choices matter-What you do in battle can affect your university life and the path your story takes... those are other features I plan to add, but for now- the battle system is as basic as it could be.
Cutscenes!
Cutscenes play a vital role in the game: setting up the story, advancing the plot, marking your progress, and highlighting special events or encounters during your exploration. Here's a sneak peek of one of them, which is the Intro Cutscene:
Tutorial! (WIP)
The tutorial also serves as an introduction to the story, featuring a Tutorial Rival that you will eliminate. However, it doesn’t strictly dictate your actions—you’re free to explore the maps and get familiar with the game at your own pace. There are indeed some limitations, but you can take your time until you’re ready to advance the story.
Here's a sneak peek of the Tutorial part of the game!
Exploration, Map designs, Interactables, etc.
It's pretty self-explanatory! Exploring the map helps you gain more information about the school, the students, interact with objects, you can also collect items, run into events based on your actions. Here's peaks of some things I've made so far~
Introducing, the stars of the game ✮⋆˙
꒰ Protagonist ꒱
The protagonist’s name is up to the player, which makes sense- as I want the game to be player-driven after the tutorial. However, for those who prefer a default option, her canon name is Shion.
She's a college freshman who earned her spot at the University through academic excellence. Despite her wits and intelligence, she harbors deep insecurity- being someone who's struggling with life's uncertainties and staying afloat.
꒰ Our Love Interest ꒱
Known for his charm, hard work, and kindness; Yato, is a 3rd-year Psychology major and the Vice President of the Student Council. He used his influence to protect Shion, and quickly captured her heart.
So, has the game caught your interest?
Check out here for future Devlogs~ ❤
