What do you guys think about customizations in shoot em ups? what is considered great customization?
I will work on a system that allows you to unlock and change the weapons of the ships depending on its type, not stricting each ship to a specific weapon

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.
Creating the flagship of the skywings faction, the harpy eagle!
The ship can switch between two modes, still don't have an idea what the modes will do exactly.

Most bullets now collide with enemy bullets.
Placing ships in the formation will affect gameplay more, since more ships in a row, means more bullets getting through to the enemy.
