What’s Coming in 1.3.0

Almost a month ago, 1.2.0 was released, bringing the Halloween event, controller support, rebellion rebalancing, accessibility options, and the release of the game for Mac and Linux. However, some features planned for that version couldn’t make it due to various reasons. But don’t worry! If everything goes as planned, they’ll be ready for 1.3.0.

Today, I want to share what’s coming in this next update. While some details are "top secret," I can share several exciting features that are already in progress.

New Features

  • Demo Update: The demo will be updated to include all the improvements.

  • Steam Deck Support: My goal is to make Countless Army fully compatible with Steam Deck, and in this update, I’ll work towards obtaining official verification. (Carried over from 1.2.0.)

  • Shortcut Visualization in the Options Menu: Suggested by "Lavan." As Lavan pointed out, there are shortcuts that are undocumented. To address this, a section will be added in the options menu to display all keyboard and controller shortcuts. (Carried over from 1.2.0.)

  • Button to Retain Army Configuration: Suggested by "McStuffins T. Fox." This feature will let you reuse your previous troop configuration, streamlining the process for players with an already-defined strategy. (Carried over from 1.2.0.)

  • Button to End the Current Wave: Also suggested by "McStuffins T. Fox." This button will allow you to instantly finish a wave once you’ve achieved your objectives, eliminating all current troops on the battlefield and moving directly to the next wave. (Carried over from 1.2.0.)

  • Pause Button: Another idea by "McStuffins T. Fox." This button will allow you to pause the game, making it easier to strategize and cast spells at critical moments. (Carried over from 1.2.0.)

Changes

  • Improved typography for better clarity and readability.

  • Review of defense attacks, especially their behavior at higher speeds.

These are the planned features and changes for 1.3.0. As I mentioned earlier, there are additional features in development that I can’t reveal yet, but I’ll share more news in the coming weeks as everything progresses.

Thank you for your support and for enjoying Countless Army. See you in the next invasion!
