What's coming next?

Since I got my computer working again, it’s about time for an update. And by that, I’m just letting everyone know what I hope to get into the next build.

So as of right now the plan for the next build (which currently has no title to it) will mainly focus on adding things onto the framework the test builds layed down.

The big thing I can hopefully add will be a reworked battle system, with the core team working and a small variety of enemies to battle. I’ll also try working towards adding more minigames (specifically DeDe’s Fishing Hole) and getting some NPC shops setup (to some extent… don’t expect Mendo to be selling anytime soon.)

I’ll also see about possibly adding more NPCs to the overworld to give it some more life. Who knows? Some of them might have new shops for items and gear if I need them.

And one last thing I intend to work on is to begin working the core story into the game. It won’t be the complete thing by next update, but I will definitely be adding certian parts of it. (Including dialogue sections with Fredbear… I’m sure people would like to chat to him instead of Meta.)

That’s about it for what XL could be getting the the next update… whenever those components are ready. I’ll keep ou guys posted on any major developments. ‘Till next time!

Motivation has returned in a substantial enough way.

How about we change things up?

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

Still have to address a few tweaks to layering and test some other sidequests, but I think that we're back on track again.

Yeah, we're doing this.

New project is having a fun, early outing.

Not quite the fix I've been talking about for the past few weeks, but it's at least progress.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Version 1.2.0 is here!
