The controllable 3D model that came with previous versions of the kit has been removed, because it caused too much confusion among newbie developers.
Also, I resized the 3D display (that’s the official name of the top screen), so that it no longer horribly skews the graphical output when in use! Now you can play Custom 3DS titles without them looking all stretchy!
Please enjoy, and as always, “HAPPY JADING!™”
Original Description:
Here’s the NEXT GEN “Custom 3DS™” Nintendo 3DS emulator developer kit we’ve all been WAITING for.
It took me more than two years, probably almost three, but I finally got around to updating the Custom 3DS engine to “The Official JadeJohnson Games Coding And Accessibility Standards™”! (The acronym, [TOJGCAAS] is pronounced, “ToeJiggaCozz”, with the stress on the “Jig”.)
Now, whilst programming what each of the buttons does, you can FINALLY TELL WHERE ALL of the different PARTS of the SYSTEM are, RIGHT THERE in the TRIGGERS DROPDOWN MENU! No more needing to open up the selection pane and rename everything inside to get even the slightest hint of an idea what you’re doing; I went ahead and named literally EVERY PART of the ENTIRE CUSTOM 3DS ENGINE for you!
You also don’t need to modify Sam Versus Cat For Custom 3DS anymore when you wish to try to take a stab at developing your very own 3DS games! This is the full CUSTOM 3DS DEVELOPER KIT, so now you have all the same access as I did when making that game, but without all the pesky extra objects and slides that made up its clunky hosting engine!
There’s now a new default character model that you can make jump with the “A” button. You can furthermore program her to perform other custom stunts by linking the appropriate objects and their assigned animations to other functions of the emulator. Think of her as “Rob The Robot For Nintendo 3DS”! She’s open source, so if you’d like to see how I linked both Meganoid (the protagonist from my smash hit “Anniémon Battle™” series) herself, and her shadow, to respond at the same time when the A button is clicked, just open the Animation Pane and examine my work.
Lastly, I finally added in all of the supplementary control functions that Nintendo appended upon the release of The New Nintendo 3DS XL, so you should be incredibly pleased to finally be able to enhance any Custom 3DS™ titles you may have developed in the past, via the additions of the L, R, ZL, and ZR buttons, as well as the C-Stick. Just so you know though, I had to rename the physical ZL button “Z”, and the physical ZR button “N”, because when I made the buttons, their labels somehow flipped upside down, and no matter what I did, I just couldn’t get them to flip over without also inverting the buttons themselves! they will still work though, so don’t you fret! I hope you have fun with my Custom 3DS™ Developer Kit!
Happy Jading!
