Zombits v0.3

Pushes for updates are going to slow over the next few weeks as release gets closer. But until that happens, here’s a plethora of new stuff.

As promised, bullet damage is dependant on the weapon used to fire it. On top of that, zombits have different health levels and sometimes may require more bullets to kill. On top of that, some updated GUI stuff…oh and slightly faster elevators.

I’m working on rounding out the few final features I want to add, like grenades, some type of scoring system, and level selection screen. I also want to take another crack at sound and music before final release.

Changelog:

  • Add: Zombits now have different levels of health

  • Add: Damage dealt by bullets depends on weapon fired.

  • Change: New look for health and ammo GUI bars.

  • Change: Elevators now move 2 pixels faster per second than before!

  • Change: Elevators are also jump-through platforms now, meaning you can jump on top of them from the directly underneath.

  • Bug Fix: Corrected collision masks for zombit types 2 and 3

  • Bug Fix: Door Transitions now work on mobile.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
