Fun fact, there's not too much rng in The Horde: Revitalized, I'll try to list rng spots I can remember below, but a good amount of the game is fairly consistent; as I wanted any rng to be heavily controlled and have consistent gameplay be the challenge.

2.1.0 Rebalancing patch (mainly affects hard mode)
Makes hard mode easier in some spots, and harder with main night level specifically introduced characters. Should be more fun to play.
