Games are more than just entertainment. We are supporting developers with our narrative game development contest. Let’s make your dreams come true! Join participants from around the world and create your own original story or narrative game in just 10 days for a chance to win cash prizes!

The Narrative Jam will be open for submissions from the 31st of October, where you, - yes you! - the greatest game designer ever will have 10 days to create and submit your game.

🗳️ JUDGING

Neowiz staff will play through each of the games!

October 31st - November 09th: Both the start and end of the development period.

Once the Jam ends: NEOWIZ will conduct two rounds of judging. The first panel will consist of the global publishing team leads behind hit titles such as SANABI, Skul, and the recently released Shape of Dreams.

The second panel will be composed of NEOWIZ’s dedicated indie sourcing team.

The Winner will be announced after that!

Judging criteria for the submissions:

• A compelling, emotionally resonant story told through text or creative narrative.

• A unique world, immersive setting, and clear theme.

• Strong potential for growth in world-building, characters, and fan engagement, including sequels or multimedia adaptations.

📋RULES

Submissions:

• 1. Submissions start on October 31st at 1:00AM (Pacific Time) and end on November 09th at 11:59PM (Pacific Time).

  2. It is mandatory to upload your game both here (Application Form / Game Overview / Gameplay Video / Demo Build) and on Game Jolt.

  3. Participants must be 14 years or older. Open to individuals, teams, and companies.

  4. Submissions cannot be changed or added to after the deadline.

  5. No board games, gambling content, or adults-only material.

  6. Entries with IP infringement, excessive violence, explicit content, or other legal/social issues may be disqualified, with prizes revoked even after distribution. Creators are fully responsible for any legal liabilities.

  7. Entries must meet the Submission Category criteria by the awards ceremony (March 2026). Non-compliant entries may be excluded at any stage.

  8. If no entries meet the standards, there may be fewer winners—or none at all.

  9. Narrative games aren’t limited to text-based formats like visual novels.

  10. Collaborations and group efforts are welcome! You can find people looking to team up in the Help channel.

  11. You may add images and descriptions to your Game Jolt game page anytime!

  12. Be cool. No racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, religious prejudice, or other forms of hate. No personal attacks. No pornographic content. Nothing illegal.

Game Format:

1. Make an original game for any platform—PC, console, HTML5, mobile, whatever you like.

2. Don’t use designs or content that belong to someone else.

3. You need to fully own the rights to your game, no matter your affiliations.

4. The game can’t have been commercially released yet (even in early access).

5. No existing publishing deals with other people or companies.

Want to enter the jam? Do this:

1. Submit your entry to the Neowiz Quest and follow the instructions on that page.

2. If you don't already have a Game Jolt account, create one here.

3. Create a game page from the Store or simply click here.

4. After the jam begins, submit your game in the Game Jam channel.

5. Remember to publish your game release AND your game page.
