Amber receives a letter from an unknown admirer, telling her to come to the cabin in the woods. On her walk she has to avoid all sorts of traps, to get to the end and uncover the truth.
Description
Amber Forest is a 2D horror platformer, placed in a forest. The task is to get past all the traps, to avoid certain death. On your path you will find mysterious creatures hiding in the shadows. You will also pick up items, which will uncover an obscure secret. The graphics of the game are dark and pixel-art styled, with creepy sounds to enhance the gloomy mood. It’s filled with orange and brown tones to set the feeling of fall.
The story tells of Amber, a girl from a small town. One day as she walks outside her house, she finds a note. The note is from a “secret admirer”, and he tells her to go into the woods and find a cabin. Amber does as she is told, but as soon as she enters the forest, she realizes something is off as the woods are filled with traps! Despite this warning, she continues on towards the cabin. Once she gets close to the cabin she sees a man in the shadows, but it is already too late.
