IN THE YEAR 200X...

Humankind and Machines live together in a technological utopia. Robots walk around equal to man with sentience and thought, yet some machines abuse the greater power they inherently have over man, and so choose to wreak havoc instead. Too powerful for humans to handle, the Bounty Hunter Association was formed for machinekind to police their own. As a result, a delicate status quo has been formed where humanity watches the spectacles of machine combat and is able to sleep safe at night knowing there are those to protect them. However, this protection does not come from idle action - and now that you've learned the basics, it is time for you to learn the story of one such Hunter.

RAPT-4 is an A-Class Hunter taking upon his first Maverick-Class Bounty after a career of going after Cogs - investigating the Solarium Plant, you and him will have to remove the Bounty whose decided to try and take all the Solarium for himself, though, the case might not be as simple as it appears-

Neither you and him will be alone of course, Four's career can only go so far on his own - with his trusty partner EKF, you'll have access to both a consistent damage dealer and a support who isn't afraid to boil his opponents down. (Though, he's not gonna ACT so morbid about it!)

As for the game itself, its difficult and design takes more inspiration from early Shin Megami Tensei and Final Fantasy with a care to feel a bit difficult to start out with, but rewarding once you have an understanding of just what you're exactly you're capable of, and what your enemies should fear. The game is a love letter to many things which i'm sure will be made apparent, and theres a specific feeling of coziness it may try to reach. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you'll enjoy your time with this small sample of Breakthrough! It features the iconic ATB system, and the enemies will ensure they take great advantage of it. So, I hope you do too!
