Merry Christmas, Hakurei Shrine. I won a foreign auction a few months ago for what was supposedly a beta version of what was supposed to be Imperishable Night. When I received it, I was met with a pile of scrambled and unmarked data on a shady-looking CD. Mind you all, this beta has no name referenced in any of the files, so I've been referring to it as "Touhou 2004" or " '04 " for short.
No matter. I've managed to recover the first stage of the game. It's a vastly different game compared to what became Imperishable Night, so I feel it even more important to get what I can of this game out to the public. I've only slightly modified it from its original state for the sake of consistency. You can download it here.

As part of the overhaul, I've redone most of the game page's visual design to reflect the new style. I'm almost done with the bulk of the assets, and will soon be focusing more on directing the stuff I can't do.

東方'04 is receiving a complete visual overhaul and an actual team, almost everything on this page is outdated.

Expect a release around Halloween.

Status update: I don't like leaving people in the dark, so I'm gonna lay everything bare: Progress is slowly starting back up, after a regrettably long hiatus. I haven't forgotten, just at a standstill(ish)
