What do you think?

Game Looks promising and Your ideas are impressive,

however SirGiygas clearly does not know how to properly articulate him-/her-/*-self on the internet. Would recommend a language and also an advanced quotation course as I could not find any recordings of "Nibba" on the internet, as well as no documentation whatsoever about the statement below.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen und Guten Tag

"The best aciton RPG I've played in years. Great studend are group." - Nibba

Hey there! QBarrels here :)

Holder of Shards is our first big game. We are QBarrels, a group of 3 students that are learning game development by themselves.
Holder of Shards is an action RPG with an infinite procedurally generated world. The main concept of the game is, that you have a Hub-World (the infinite world) where you can farm some gear and level, explore the world, do side quests/dungeons etc. There are villages around the world, where an NPC will you give you a story quest, that teleports you to another world (which is not infinite and not procedurally generated) where you can finish that story line. After the completion of that storyline you can go back to the "Hub-World".

The game has lots of different story lines and one world for each story line.

The features of the games are:
-Shards, that affect your stats and can change the effect of your skills
-lots of different storylines that you can play on different worlds
-fast paced action combat/movement system
-Class Upgrades (similar to MMORPGs, where you can do "jobchanges")
-different playstyles/own skillbuilds for your class
-replayability system
and much more!

The game is inspired by games like Dark Souls, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Cube world(a huge inspiration), Path of Exile and a few other games.

The game is still in an early development phase, meaning that almost every model and animation is just a place holder/prototype and the art style we want is not in the game yet. Lots of things are still not working properly and/or are buggy.
Stay tuned and wait for new Updates!

By the way!
We are also aiming for multiplayer but for now there will be singeplayer only.
And the game will be on kickstarter soon!

Alright.. after we changed our Networking solution we made much more progress. Level up, Fighting enemies, improving your statpoints etc. are working and are multiplayer compatible. I think further updates will be posted on Kickstarter as soon as it's out

Working on Multiplayer implementation. Basic player movement is already synched with the server!

Some minor changes were made.. We probably won't do infinite worlds but do something more like Skyrim/Witcher/Botw/Horizon etc. did with their Terrain. Further updated will come in Kickstarter. We will start our campagne soon :)

I must say I do like the atmosphere somehow.. But at the same time it's a bit too "shiny"?.. What do you think?
