just played the game and got to the point where you go to ethurlos - i have to say that this was a very pleasant experience so far!) a good rpg with a simple, but effective and engaging plot, great characters, fun fights, detailed and nicely done enviroments and great choice of music!)
the animated battle sprites for the enemis look fantastic - i also love that fact that you can choose when to fight the bosses by going up to them on the map) all of the character's designs look great - especially the main cast! i love celyn's heroic look and eza is definitely the best girl in the game - love the chemistry between these two!) the plot is cohesive, interesting and pretty engaging - i loved going through various dungeons like ruin tower and wolf's peak!) also, the Book of Beasts is a very cool thing to have - i love being able to look at all the enemies we've encountered so far and the book of beasts is a nice way to do so!)
although, with all that said, i've run into a few problems and i have several small complaints about the game - lets start with the bugs first. in the first village there are two tablets that are saying "celyn's residence" - one for the actual celyn's residence and one for the house on the right side of the village - when you enter the other celyn's residence you are teleported behing some door in the village. another bug i've found is that you can interact with NorthStar Perceus before finding out about the incident in the ruin tower - i got to his residence and wolf's peak before killing the apex bear and this was pretty strange - i think that you should make it so you can only enter perceus's houses after completing the ruin tower. there's also a chest at the start of wolf's peak that gives you iron armor but the description after opening it says that you got an iron helmet. another (pretty nasty) bug i've found was in perceus's residence - if you talk to him after getting the quest for the dire wolf's essence while standing below him and choose the last option then the character will walk to the wall and the game will be stuck - i think that you should remove the characters backing off after choosing the last option to prevent this problem from occuring. another small mistake is with brimestone elemental - i think you should've named it brimstone instead, but that's just a minor thing) on the last note, in diablo's swamplands the wooden bridges still make you take damage - if you can, then you should place some invisible tile on the layer after the swamp and then place the bridges) even so, all of those are minor mistakes, but still, if you could adress them then the game would be a lot better!)
as for the complaints, i think that the ray of light in the first village, honey forest and honey fields is sorta annoying - it would be nice if you could remove it by some option. also, i think it would be great if you could enter other houses in the village and sell the things you got from the enemies while also being able to buy some new stuff!) also, you should definitely lower the brightness of diablo's swamplands - they look too bright and make are tiring for the eyes to look at for long. and last but not least, i think you should nerf LaserDown's damage by 50% or more - it deals too much and when the enemies spam it (like in my first encounter with the brimestone elemental) then it's a guaranteed game over.
all in all, monster's rift was a good experience - great characters, cool plot, fun and challenging battles and nice enviroments ready for exploration - this game has it all!) with a little more polishing the game would become even better!) as for you, BlueLavaWorks, i wish you best of luck in your future endeavors!) take care!
