Short presentation:
Proof is an early-access open world action adventure set within a fictional dystopian sci-fi city which follows the story of a detective in a highly oppressive society.
Explore the city, take on jobs and witness the fates of people you meet throughout your journey. Make decisions which not only affect you, but could also leave lasting consequences for other people in the game world.
Approach combat as you see fit! You can attack non-lethally, aggressively, or attempt avoiding combat situations entirely using a combination stealth and non-lethal weapons.
Buy new weapons, health upgrades and progress through the world.
Additional Description:
I've been working on Proof (mostly) by myself since 2020 (used devkits from Unity Asset Store helped me shorten dev time, everything is displayed in credits). The game features a mixture of soundtracks from the Asset Store, soundtracks made by Eric Matyas (https://soundimage.org/) and original soundtracks made by my brother (combat themes, main theme, radio and quest soundtrack).
The latest version (v0.5) features an overhauled combat system, improved AI responsiveness, better precision for ranged NPCs and two quests (with hidden post quest consequences).
Most weapons included in the game are tweaked standard weapons which come with the UFPS package.
Installation:
The game is packed in a self extracting 7zip archive. Upon launching the executable, Windows may warn you about the executable being unsafe. Click on launch anyways, the installer is marked as a false positive.
