played the demo for some time and i have to say that this is pretty cool! the top-down view is unique and looks great, the sprites are minimalistic and looks awesome, punching things is very satisfying and everything performs well! also, the tutorial is pretty good, although i wonder where our dad went off...
i also have a few suggestions\complaints about the game. firstly, i think that the wolves going through object is kinda strange - its cool that you can use the enviroment to protect yourself from the web that spiders sling, and i also think that it would be good if you could slow down the wolves' advance by going around some trees and rocks! the sound design is pretty good, but it would be nice if there was also some 32-bit music to accompany the game or just any cool tune! also, i think that adding more equipment slots and the ability to craft armor and/or accesories would be great! like being able to craft an occult pendant that boosts your mana regeneration while you use the staff and other things. it would also be nice to add some unique structures in the game world that spawn rarely in the locations - like an abandoned house or a magical workshop.
all in all, even in the current state the game is pretty good and very much enjoyable! i hope to see it being updated and getting better and better with each new addition or change - good luck, Jdmadman, and take care!
This is a demo for a game I am working on. Its a survival game where you gather materials, fight monsters, craft better gear and eventually defeat all the bosses to win. There is also a progression system that allows you to upgrade your character. for example you can upgrade your damage or give yourself different abilities. I am hoping to get reviews to see if its worth putting more time and effort into. #adventure #rpg #survival
