The Gatekeeper Gameplay Demo
Warning: This game contains flashing lights, blood, mild body horror, tobacco use, violence, and themes of addiction and self-destructive behaviour.
Please let me know what you would like to see in the game. I really appreciate constructive criticism, and it helps me with the actual development portion of the game.

The Gatekeeper is a heavily FNaF-inspired game, utilizing the base mechanics of watching cameras and surviving the night with a few additional twists!
--- Basics ---
You're returning to yet another night of work. You were never really bothered by this place like all the other Gatekeepers were, so you're probably the only person who is willing to take the shift. You have a flashlight, some cameras, and a control panel that can send an electric current strong enough to kill an elephant through the bars of the metal gate. The pay's great, and the benefits are even better, so why quit? It's not like the company can get rid of you either way.
--- General Controls ---
Generic point-and-click mechanics always have their place in FNaF-inspired games, and The Gatekeeper is no exception.
The flashlight has two uses. The first is to see the threats in the air ducts. The second is to get rid of them. When your flashlight is switched on, it's set to a low enough brightness that you don't have to worry about disturbing anything that's coming your way. Of course, some of your little ghost friends won't leave unless you hit them with something stronger. Clicking on the duct you need to clear out will brighten up the place a little more, although some might not like that very much.
The panel located on the right side of your office has a few controls on it that you might find useful during your shift.
The "SHOCK" button will send an electric current through the gate, stunning anyone brave enough to be touching it and sending them back to where they belong. The little bar underneath it shows you how much power is left in the gate's reserves. This will charge up over time, but if there isn't enough power to send the current, the button won't do anything.
If the reserves look fine, but the button still isn't working, you might have to reset the mechanism. You'll be informed on how to do that on the next shift. In addition to this rebooting mechanism, you'll quickly find other tools you might eventually need to use, such as a seal for the air ducts, a fire extinguisher, and a camera light, but you don't need to worry about any of that right now, you haven't even started yet!
--- What are my goals for this game? ---
My goals are simply to get it done, but I also want to include a few extra things to try and make this game fit to my liking. I'm not trying to impress anyone, I just want to learn something new, and try my hand at making a game similar to the one that caught my attention so many years ago.
Part of my plan is to have things like animated cutscenes for each character, and some post-night story, since there's only so much I can convey from a phone call.
