Honest review of the game.
On the positive side I like the graphics for the most part. The editing is nice and make trtf 1 look nicer. However there are a lot of issue. I am gonna try to put all of them in a list.
-The options menu.
I remember when I first played the Demo the game has no sound whatsoever. It was due to the Volume in the options being set at 0 per default. While I can not verify if it has been fixed in the finished game I am adding here in case. It is also weird to have to click to save the options manually.
-The custom night itself
The AI can only go up to 5 which is a really weird decision. You can even see the counter for the AI level showing a secondary number so you would assume they go up to 10 at the very least. This also make it so you call funnily enough not customize the custom night as much as you wish. The options for the night while nice does not change a lot. The menu also lack any sort of preset challenges so the game feel like it barely has any content.
-The gameplay itself
The camera button needing to be clicked on feels weird for a game that takes from fnaf 2 imo.
The cameras are barely used. Using them is also more annoying than anything with constantly needing to move the camera around and the limited camera battery.
The jumpscares are so fast you barely even see them
Every single character but three makes use of the mask. This creates the exact same issue of the original trtf 1 where outside of the mask there are barely any mechanics.
Only Dug, Golden Freddy and Balloon Boy have mechanics where you do not use the mask. However, for Dug and Golden Freddy, you simply use the monitor and they go away. They can also combo weirdly when a masked character enters the office. For BB you just click a balloon so he changed basically nothing to the main gameplay.
The entire strategy is basically just to keep the mask on the entire night and only put it away to flip the camera. It is not interesting.
I do not want to bash this game. I believe you can create a great game and you are able to do nice graphics. Next time try to think more about the gameplay and how to properly balanced between using the cameras and staying in the office.
