You are Alexey, an archivist of the digital age, who has discovered a box of old VHS tapes. What started as a curious digitization project quickly becomes a matter of sensible action when the recordings of the past begin to rewrite your present.
➤ A LIVING AND DANGEROUS COMPUTER
Your PC is your primary tool, a window into the world, and a primary source of threat. Interact with the operating system, digital programs, chats, and files. But be careful: with each archive you view, the interface will change, becoming infected with visual viruses from the past. Task manager processes, system notifications, and even the mouse cursor can become conduits of horror.
➤ DOUBLE REALITY: VHS vs. HD
The game masterfully combines the crisp, modern graphics of your surroundings with the rough, distorted VHS aesthetic of archival recordings. Magnetic tape noise, flickering, color artifacts, and "snow" are not just stylization. These are symptoms of infection that gradually creep from your viewing windows onto your main screen, blurring the line between observer and victim.
➤ RESEARCH AND PUZZLE EVENTS
To stop the "Patchwork Man," you'll need to analyze recordings, search for hidden meanings in file metadata, and compare information from the victims' virtual and real-life diaries (forums, old blogs). Solve puzzles using both digital and analog tools—sometimes a magnet and a physical break in the chain are needed to fight digital evil.

You'll begin to doubt the readings of your devices, your friends' messages, and, ultimately, your own perceptions.
