Creepy game! I included it in part 14 of my Lowrez Jam compilation video series, if you'd like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/A8V9kdWiIgQ
Amicus is a psychological horror game made for #lowrezjam 2014. As per the rules of the game it has a screen resolution of only 32x32, so I am trying to create a foreboding atmosphere using the narrative and ambient noise.
In Amicus you play as Katie, a girl who is visiting the small town of Redford with her boyfriend to see their mutual friend and old housemate, Edward. While they did not part on good terms she hopes that the visit will help to heal the rift.
After a long drive they meet up and the boys go ahead to drop the cats off while she finds somewhere to park. Upon getting to the previously agreed rendevous of the local hotel she finds it dark and seemingly empty...
She cannot get either of them on the phone and she does not know where Edward lives, so she has no choice but to go inside...
The controls are directional keys up, down, left, and right to move and E to interact
