What do you think?

So, overall review:

For a small game, the production here is very good! The quality is pretty nice, and the movement is actually very snappy once you get used to it, though I wasn't a huge fan of pressing W again to exit the monitor, since I kept defaulting to trying to use S instead. Eventually I got it down, but it was a little weird.

The plot is fine, nothing offensive, its a Sit N Survive, I'm not expecting shakespeare here.

The overall atmosphere of the game is good too, the audio and visuals of the office are great. I was impressed by the actual real time animation (or so I assumed) in some cases, especially with the red light mechanic guy.

Now, here's the real meat and potatoes of the review. The gameplay.

First, the good: again, snappiness and rapid movement was fluid. The radar on the left being real time was fantastic, as it didn't lock you into staring at that screen while checking, and you could actually tell the distance the subject was by when the radar would beep without even looking at it- all of that is simply great. The power with the main monitor was a little finicky at times- sometimes it would instantly go on and off and sometimes there'd be like a tiny delay, but it wasn't too bad.

Now, the bad: I don't want to come across as rude- all of this is genuine, and I do really like this game. However, the mechanics here? Very underexplained. Which actually isn't really too big of a problem, save for the fact that I had no idea which "subject" was which until like the 4th-5th hour. Case in point- the "stalling" mechanic on the monitor for one of the subjects? I still don't know who that affects. All the notes do decently at giving you a rough overview on the mechanics, but like I said, the main issue is that it's hard to put faces to those names. Again, I eventually got it down- by Night 4, I knew all the mechanics (save for, again, the stall one, which I guess I didn't need), but the notes are basically worthless since there's no pictures, so you basically end up naturally figuring out what to do with who anyway. I will admit though I had to basically experiment with vent guy (I got it with process of elimination from the visible mechanics).

All of this isn't necessarily bad, but it is just a bit eh and might make some people a little peeved. Especially with stuff like the subject from the right side pulling you into wherever like SCP-106.

General consensus? Great game, you did do really well here, and I did beat in with only 4 deaths, so my complaints about the vagueness of the mechanics aren't like the worst thing ever- in fact, if you can keep a secret, I actually enjoyed the game a lot more with said minimal mechanic explanation. It made things very tense and the fact that no subject was super over complicated meant that I wasn't angry about being in the dark.

Just hope that if a streamer ends up playing it, it's one who's a little bit smarter than the average streamer, because otherwise they'll struggle.

Can I be a VA?
