Darkenstein 3-D

Darkenstein 3-D is the product of a year of learning game development. This project was created for me to learn and for you to enjoy, and will always remain free.

A fast-paced retro shooter inspired by Wolfenstein 3-D, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the Dooms.

The nazis stole your dog in a raid, you *must* get him back.
As you enter the castle you quickly realize that if you want to find Gunther, you'll have to tear your way through. The german army is great in itself, but they are not alone.

Find the keys and get to the end of the levels. These nazis aren't going to kill themselves...

Get psyched!

What you will find in this game:

- Nazis to kill.

- Headshot hitsounds.

- No hitscan enemies.

- Retro gameplay akin to a wilder RtCW.

- 6 levels that get progressively bigger.

- 10 enemy types.

- 1 boss fight.

- Fun ragdolls.

- Items such as grenades, mines, and soon more.

- Euro Jank.

- Different enemy factions.

- Classic Wolf3D weapons and some new ones (7 in this build).

- A complete game, when it is done.

This is an early build of the game and is bound to have some problems.
However there should be no game breaking bugs. 

This build contains 6 maps, while the full build is projected to have 12 or 13 maps.

Old maps (1 to 4) should now work much smoother, except from a few choke points.
You're likely to experience performance issues in maps 5 or 6. This will be fixed in time but for now, pardon the choppiness.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Until there is a new update, there is an important issue. Toward the end of level 6, part of the environment needs to be destroyed to advance. This MUST be done with exposives, otherwise the weapon used to do will break for the rest of the level.

Also, don't bother trying to find where the 2nd category of items are, they're not yet in the game. :P
