What do you think?

this engine looks very cool and I'm keeping a close eye on this, although i noticed there isn't a charting tool yet, just something to import JSON charts from other engines? I hope that will be implemented in a future update

Why has no one made a single mod using this? :(

Open source rhythm game excellence paired with open source game engine excellence!

The Friday Night Funkin': Benjine is a full-fledged recreation of Friday Night Funkin' using the Godot game engine and an fangame engine for Friday Night Funkin' mods.

  • Accuracy - Made to be as accurate as possible (whenever possible) to what's currently available in the original FNF, gameplay and all

  • Flexibility - Characters, levels, cutscenes, options--you name it, you can add it to the base Benjine. Need to make heavy changes? Create your own experience as an advanced mod!

  • Extensibility - Use the Godot editor and any feature of the engine as the modding editor for the Benjine

Start modding with the Benjine here! Or also support it on Itch!

Note: HTML5 builds are provided, GLES2 is meant for low-end systems. Also, the desktop versions are the optimal way to play.

Benjine Installation

  1. Download the respective files.

  2. Extract it / move it into a folder.

  3. Run the game!
