You are a Champion. You are not immortal. You will die. How long you survive will be your Legacy.
Save the people, protect their town as they build it up around you, their Champion.
Play with up to 3 other people. Build up a town together, or be rivals.
You don't control the people, you only control yourself and help the people build a bigger town, eventually a city. Collect resources, find more helpless peasants to join you, explore, complete quests and find powerful relics. But the bigger the civilization, the bigger the target it is for the bad guys.
Survive for as long as you can as the difficulty increases. When you die, the next time you play will be 100 years in the future. Visit the ruins of your past cities and read your past legacies, about how you failed the people before.
