â—‰ Conceptual Introduction
A soul born from ash and heat has inhabited its own handmade wooden mask deep in the Dreams Cemetery. Now the Mask attempts to reunite with its creator and trek through the past locales of the soul's life.
Play as the Mask with its sword that will slash and slice across graveyards and crypt grounds. Master this unique style of horizontal-swordplay, filled with other Mask enemies to duel against in ghoulish & spooky locations with colorful themes and responsive, challenging gameplay & floating Mask action.

A Mask & a Sword - Offering up a truly unique and unseen style of swordplay, your floating Mask carries a sword with elemental abilities rooted in fire and flames, like IceLightning, and Ghostly Green sword types.
Energy Meter Management - All of your abilities will run off of one meter bar that replenishes quickly and often, if you play efficiently and tactfully.
Jumping, Blocking, & Projectiles - Each sword equipped comes with a designated projectile with unique shooting paths and patterns.
- The Mask can block and parry off enemies.
- With a single jump that enemies can mimic.
Platforming Elements - Along with all your sword abilities and movement, you will encounter other mechanics like teleportation, unlocking doors, & destroying defensive enemies and checkpoints.

â—‰ Horizontal Swordplay, a term I coined to describe the sword style that the Mask uses throughout the game.
â—‰ There are 5 main arenas to master, each level has its own themes and mechanics to explore. This is for the final game.
â—‰ Controller & Keyboard support with Key Rebinding
â—‰ Running on the Unreal Engine, I've utilized the performance-improving feature that is Nanite, a geometry virtualization capability of UE that allows more polygons and less drag on performance.
â—‰ Along with Lumen which can be toggled in the graphics menu. Lumen is a GI solution that enhances the bounce lighting in the game. Though it uses more memory upfront and is harder on your computer when active.
Lumen is off by default and can be toggled in the graphics menu.
— You will have a small slice of the game to try with the Crypt Demo.
— Note: The texture resolution has been lowered to a max of 1024 to fit in the 3GB limit for Gamejolt. Rest assured, full resolution is retained and will be set back to higher res's in future releases.

I am the sole creator of this game, using blender and unreal engine to build it. I used assets from the Epic Games store and Sketchfab to complete the experience, combining my past blueprint code and work from other games i've made to fortify this latest project.
