Mario (or Luigi) goes on a journey through the Ghost Kingdom to find Princess Peach, who Bowser has imprisoned in his castle. During the journey, he meets such enemies as the Ghost and the corpse Coop, and after a fight with Bowser in the first seven castles, he finds Toad, who suggests that Peach is imprisoned in another castle. In the eighth castle (level 8-4) Mario (or Luigi) finds bowser himself and fights Him. After that, he finds Princess Peach.
