What do you think?

I understand why you say this game is not 100% as I've found some bugs, here are bugs I discovered:

  1. You can lose energy capsule after getting one. Not sure how but one thing for sure, the capsule returns to where it was

  2. Shooting also dashes Swagger forward. Since the dash is not mentioned, I assume it's a bug

  3. Returning to landing zone after entering dungeon to the left restarts the game

  4. Saved teleport rooms can be lost, for instance, after accessing 2nd teleport room, returning to 1st teleport room could lose the access to 2nd room

  5. Sometimes walking bots could walk off their walking area limit. IOW they can fly

Oops, forgot to comment on the things I DID like.

The cutscene at the start was nicely programmed. Simple, Skippable, Explanatory, Quirky. Good things to have. The spawn (falling from the sky) was neat.

Oops, now that I re-read your description, I tried taking the left path. The level design is bigger than I thought, sorry.

Update on that character flip bug, it goes both ways. Standing against any wall and jumping will flip the character away from the wall. Quite annoying when you're trying to shoot over a block.

Those Flying Bug Bots were a nuisance. Their ability to move past walls and shoot through them was rather annoying. Also, one spawns right outside the exit of the save room, and another outside the squat mouthed boss room, and makes it nearly impossible to get past without taking damage. Possibly slowing down their bullet speed would be an acceptable nerf.

At the section with the bridge and the fall to your death, the game kinda hangs if you die from falling. You have to manually escape to the menu, which is odd.

If you destroy a destructable block and then stand under a falling destructable block, a wierd stuck animation occurs, which you can escape by shooting up. I don't think that's a big problem.

All in all, it is quite a difficult and interesting game. Possibly add another soundtrack or two, wouldn't hurt. (nor would a bit more story) This game looks promising, the levels really are bigger than I thought. I just hope this doesn't hurt gameplay by requiring to backtrack considerable distances facing nothing but the same enemies (You don't use many global variables, apart from health, keycard and gun upgrade variables)

Might I suggest a teleporter between parts of levels that you've accessed before?

Seems like a fairly decentish game. I had a few gripes though.

I found that Trishooter Helicopters loved to hover annoyingly high out of reach, even of the upwards shot. The orbs where quite abstract, maybe you could redo the sprite into something more health-like? They also seemed to disappear WAY too quickly. Double or Triple the despawn timer on them at least.

At the first screen there are a bunch of white steps and platforms. Once you climb up there, there's another platform again that you can't reach. Maybe I'm missing something.
And the door at the end of the level...you say there's a keycard...that seems like a really long way to backtrack.

A few bugs:
Pressing ESC turns the background wierd. This also occurs in the menu. It fixes itself again though when you close the confirmation window.
Jumping when standing against a wall on your right flips you so you're facing left. This seems like a collision error but I'll leave it up to you whether it's important enough to bother fixing or not.

At any rate, I'll pop round later and check it out again and increase the rating if the game turns out good.

After your spaceship crashes into a planet during a mission to collect resources, you survive in the world trying to find a way to get yourself back home.

This a nonlinear adventure game that plays like games such as metroid and megaman. You collect weapons and items to help you move deeper into the planet and find a way out of the planet and back home.
