In the shadowy realm of Hyrule, where despair hangs heavy in the air, the story of a boy named Link began to unfold. On his way to defeat the evil Ganon and fulfill his destiny, he alongside his allies get captured by Ganon's personal safeguard, a group of highly skilled thieves. To save a child, the destinied hero sacrifices himself. Following the tragic demise of the Hero, one of the mysterious thieves dons his iconic garb and sets out on a journey that will test his beliefs.
A powerful artifact called the Crystal Of Echoes, which allows one to see the past and the future in its reflection, was split into a hundred shards. While seperated they are already almighty, combined their power would make the user unstoppable.
Mistaken for the legendary hero by the desperate people of Hyrule, the thief reluctantly assumes the role thrust upon them. Accompanied by a fairy companion whose faith wavers with each passing trial, they embark on a quest to collect the lost shards across the land. But for what will the crystal be used? To aid the kingdom of Hyrule...or to destroy it?
This is a 2D Zelda game inspired by classics such as "A Link To The Past". Containing a healthy mix of classic items such as the bow, boomerang and bombs alongside new additions such as the Axe, Shadow Cloak and the Echo Flute, this bold new experience should entertain veterans and newcomers alike. The story is much more prominent than other 2D Zeldas, although there will be a lot of actual gameplay to dive into as well. Puzzles play a much more prominent role, though there might be a few surprising action sequences...
