Showcasing my Progress Thus Far
FYI, uhh everything is kinda just colored rectangles and such right now. But you see, that's called developer art or something, and it won't be like that in the final game.
Anyhow, behold!
The Title Screen

The stars are falling... like the title music suggests. Uhh what else is there to explain here? NEXT!
Level 1 — Greenwood Woods

A few chunks within the level, you will stumble upon this tavern. It is optionable whether or not you wish to enter it. But if you do enter it, you can fulfill a requirement for the "merciless" ending for the game. (More on that later down the devlog I suppose!)

There's also this bridge past the tavern, which leads into the wilderness of Greenwood Woods... where the level REALLY begins! What's past the bridge? Only another devlog will tell...
And that's uhh all the screenshots I took of Greenwood Woods thus far. Welp.
Misc. Progress I've Made
Some Border Thingie

I've been experimenting with this border that — as of the current state of development — simply blocks out deloading/loading chunks, as without the borders enabled, the chunks will disappear after reaching X coordinates past –363 or –364. Put it simply: I dunno.
I mean, least the borders look cool! Right?
The Concept of Different Endings
Remember that "merciless" ending I mentioned earlier? Well now I will explain it alongside some other endings:
Merciless Ending
Can be done fully if you enter the tavern and talk to an NPC named "Jack Eagleeye", self-proclaimed World's Bestest Bounty Hunter and a man fond of guns with special care put into 'em. He'll be fond of your handcrafted, magically-infused garand and will gift you a gun called the "One Shot Wonder". This delicate revolver allows for an option to kill or spare bosses after defeating them. Without the gun, to spare them is by default.
If you choose to kill the boss, Tamira (John Garand Magus) will pull out the One Shot Wonder and hold the boss at gunpoint, eventually shooting them at point-blank, thus ending the level... with one less witness.
The way to get this ending is by killing all enemies in every level, as well as killing all the bosses using the One Shot Wonder.
Purest Ending
Can be done by simply not killing anyone. 'Tis but simplest as that. (FYI, bosses won't count towards the "kill" counter, as unless you obtain the One Shot Wonder they are spared by default. If you do have the One Shot Wonder... then simply spare them.)
Gray Ending
If murder is done to an extent, then this is your ending.
End of Tyranny Ending
Can be done if you have the One Shot Wonder and use it against the final boss and only the final boss.
And that is all for today, wizards. Next Garand Magus post will prolly be related to the cast of characters you meet in your journey; prolly. So until then! OH! And apologies for making "tomorrow" a month-long wait, my two game followers.
