Hey peeps! I hope you're all doing well!
While taking a break from a few other projects I decided to come back to CUBE a little bit and see what I can do. Got to watch the Japanese remake of CUBE and it got me inspired to try something with the project... and that is the ability to have a different playable layout. (among other things as well)
A lot of the new things added and improvements are mentioned in the description of this showcasing video, so if you're interested- you can check it out!
(I forgot to mention that the last trap actually detects audio; while not perfect, it gets the job done)
Now, the project is still on hold; one of the reasons is that my PC can no longer handle this project. I mention this in the description of the video as well.
While I was able to optimize the game/project a fair amount, my PC has reached its limit with Cube as it has crashed numerous times to the point of giving me BSoD and corrupting some of the project files. (this happens when I work on other projects as well, but this one is the most demanding project and has the most issues out of all)
So I thought that at the very least I can give a little update.
Take care everyone!
EDIT: I forgot to show one more photo that's in relation to the layout of the first/original Cube
to showcase the reflections I was able to add. It's the only image I have of this because (as I mentioned the problems my PC is having) this layout/cube got corrupted so I'll have to remake it from scratch again. (which, in a way, is a good thing because I gained a little bit more experience with 3D modeling and shader-related things so I'll be able to further optimize it)
I apologize for the uhhhh "shot on iphone" quality but this photo was taken when I didn't have internet and was away from home.
