Alpha Release

Hello,

The first public and playable version of Cosmic Defenders was released today! It’s currently 7 AM and I’ve continued to work and improve on the things I personally needed changed. The sprites for enemies in the game are placeholders, so I’ll leave a sneakpeak of what they will be turned into eventually below.

I’ll leave the alpha up for a week or two I think, or until I get the feedback I feel like I need. I’m currently working on a ton of more levels, PvP and some mechanics to speedrun the levels.

I hope everyone who has had the chance to play the game has enjoyed it, it is extremly hard, it took me a couple tries myself and some rage-quits to beat the current level.

I’ll head back to implement new weapons, enemies and whatever I find fitting. Make sure to leave some feedback so I can fix things that should be fixed.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
