Just for my personal note in the future, but feel free to read too:
Second image is the latest attempt, taking inspiration mainly from Morpho Knight's mask style + Ares' helmet, with those spiky protrusions being the "ears" of a Great Horned Owl. The weapon remains undesigned :(
Third Image is mainly focusing on the wing shape, but also features a mask design that is close to what I want. Vaguely owl themed, but the spike on the mask doesn't showcase it strong enough methinks? "Ears" are ok tho.
Concept of if the top half could pull down like a knight's helmet. Cool but also weird??? Probably not going to use that idea.
Initial Redesign from the batch, I like the cute simplified wing shape and owl theming, but that's about it. Doesn't showcase other themes related to his character because it doesn't feel "warlike" or ornate enough to look like a mythological being.
Last two images are just a what if scenario featuring two other characters that I have yet to redesign. Their relation to Noctua initially was familial (?), but that no longer fits his concept so they are now more like his gateway to mortal experiences, and a way for the viewer to see Noctua from different perspectives too. Oh and they died.
