Following feedback
As I finished that sidequest of fixing the worst bugs known to man, I'm now following the rest of the previous feedback I got, starting with the levels themselves:
[...] "I'd work on the level design though looks a bit barren/uninteresting" [...]
Most of the feedback pointed out that the level design was boring and etc, and I can totally see it now LOL
So now I'm going to rework the existing levels, starting with the 1st level.
Before:

(Not the full length)After:

(Not the full length, placeholder tiles)
I'm still playtesting this level though, so the layout is still subjected to change (and then finally will have the actual tiles in it).
[...] "you need to do more with the background" [...]
I've been thinking in how I'd design the backgrounds while considering the Gameboy limitations (I can't just slap hills with a parallax effect like in other engines unfortunally), I always struggled in coming up with something that wouldn't be too complicated to implement so hopefully the more improved level design makes the backgrounds feel less empty at least.
[...] "Every level seems to end abruptly when you reach the right edge of the level and the player just walks out of the level."
Initially I was planning to make every level end with a cutscene (which I got to do something like it for one of the levels) but it would end up being too much to handle (for me & the gameboy lol), but now I came up with something much more simpler than that:
Putting a collectible at the end of a level as a goal point
I decided to repurpose the game medals into something like that:

Now when you collect it at the end, you're taken to an end screen! So now the level doesn't look like that it's ending all of a sudden by simply walking to the border.

This is something that I don't think I got to write for a #Devruary quest: feedback is VERY important and useful if you want to guarantee that your game plays well.
Other stuff
I also coded more stuff, such as semi working coyote jumps, but these need video footages to get a better understanding of, so I'll make a whole post about that soon.
