We already talked about changing the name of the game to Myth Landers. We have prepared another version of the game cover. Which one do you like best? Gray or green? Pale or bright? Left or right?
The release of the demo version of our turn-based strategy RPG is just around the corner. Therefore, we decided to create a short gameplay video to demonstrate the tactical capabilities of Myth Landers. In order to make the content of the video more comprehensible and informative, we decided to add text notes. Without them, it would have looked like just a battle between brutal men and monsters. We would be glad to hear your opinions on this video, as it will help us release a higher quality demo version in the future.

The Sage - an ancient Chinese philosopher, master of words, and a staunch opponent of violence
We continue to enrich the game with content. From ancient China, we have another hero that we have not yet had a chance to work on. Traditionally, we start the development of a hero's image with brainstorming ideas and concept art, as well as experimenting with different gameplay mechanics that would distinguish the character favorably among his companions.
The ancient Chinese sage is portrayed as an active opponent of violence. Therefore, in the early stages of battle, he has low initiative and the ability to act or counter damage in any way. However, this person is much more dangerous than he appears. Following ancient Chinese teachings, he is able to wound with words more effectively than with a knife! Over time, the sage can accumulate "hidden threats", special characteristic that works like shield points. This allows him to withstand minor damage. But even more interesting is using one of the hero's active abilities. When enough hidden threat has accumulated, the seemingly peaceful and kind old man can inflict colossal damage on an opponent or strengthen an ally, if the threat has not been removed by the attacks of the foes. Overall, this results in an interesting hero, capable of changing the course of a battle even in the most hopeless situation.
This is not the final version. We would like to work more on the character to make it bright, original, and contain an interesting combination of attributes from ancient China and a brutal, technological future. Nevertheless, it creates an interesting trio. What do you say?
Our game features a wide variety of characters, allowing for interesting and unexpected combinations. Each gaming session, the procedural generation algorithms offer the player a party of random heroes. Then the player decides which squad seems most effective in each location. Or, perhaps, a partner is chosen to evolve his skills in the next raid?
What combination of heroes would you like to see? What do you find most interesting and incredible?
We have made some improvements to the informativeness of the user interface. In our view, this is extremely important for turn-based tactics. Now, in the skill descriptions, key characteristics are highlighted in a different color compared to the main text.
Next, we want to show all the modifiers so that the player understands how all these values are calculated.
In the world of role-playing games, monsters play an equally important role as heroes. They create an atmosphere of danger and challenge, adding depth and variety to the gaming world.
However, careful development of monsters takes time and effort. In the game, purely futuristic adversaries emerge - soldiers of the future who seek to seize the power inherent in our heroes. Overcoming them requires a special tactical approach and presents a real challenge for players.
If you like the project we are developing, we would appreciate it if you liked our devlog and added the game to your wishlist. Also, don't forget to join our social networks to stay updated on interesting events and news.
