Devlog #4 - The Rebranding

A BIT OF CONTEXT

Before talking about what's happening, I need to explain the creation of Uncreativity.

Basically, when I made the first Uncreativity post (the one with the Sonic extras screen), it was all a joke, I never planned on making a game, I was just bored. Because of that, I didn't think too much about the art style and stuff like that, which led to the state of the game's art to be... bad, like, real bad, straight up shi-

But seriously, the art of the game had many issues, inconsistencies, things like that.

THE REBRANDING

Okay, now for the actual thing. Basically, I decided that I'm going to completely remake the art of the game, with a new art style.

The art style I decided to work with is the art style of the Sonic IDW comics and Sonic Origins, basically the stuff made by Tyson Hesse, as I believe it is the best modern art style, it works with the classic characters, it works with the modern characters and it's just great overall.

The change won't be only to the normal art, but also to things like the logo and "promotional" art.

WILL IT SLOW DOWN DEVELOPMENT?

Technically, yes, but it's not like much has been done anyway and I think if I didn't decide this sooner, the project would have been cancelled due to me not liking the art lol.

WE NEED HELP!

Art is a big part of the game, and doing it on my own isn't a good idea, not just because of overworking, but also because I don't know everything about art (especially backgrounds and stuff), so I'm opening a spot for artists.

If you want to apply, then what you need to do is:

Make sure you can imitate the art style of Tyson Hesse (be it something more like the IDW comics or Sonic Origins);
Make a drawing with the art style (can be something related to Uncreativity or something else);
Send it to me at Discord (my tag is volteon_k);
Wait for my reply (be aware that I can deny your application for whatever the reason).

If you're not really good at imitating the art style but you can draw good backgrounds, you can also apply as a background artist.

Also, voice actor roles are still open, check out the description of the game, the characters with a "???" don't have voice actors yet, so you can audition to them if you want.
