Devlog - 9/29/25


Hey everyone! If you're reading this and you've been caught up with all of our devlogs so far, I just wanna say me and Lime really appreciate you keeping up to date with our games progress, and we hope we don't disappoint with our progress! We're terribly sorry this is at the very tail-end of the month, truth be told, I almost forgot!

You might recall me talking about our first "game breaking" bug last devlog, and fortunately, Lime and I have found the solution after about 7 test builds and multiple run throughs, and have fixed it accordingly! As of right now, as far as I'm aware, there should be no more game breaking bugs to speak, and currently as is you can finish all the levels currently in the game, in order, with no issue. Hooray!!

After figuring that out, the rest of this month has been troubleshooting and improving the engine as a base. Multiple things have now been edited to be more accurate the genesis version of Sonic The Hedgehog, like the checkpoint spinning animation and other misc. stuff. Along with that, Lime has been hard at work making sure one of the main features of the game is working as intended, and I'm, personally, VERY happy with the result of what he's done.

Lime actually does not pre-read my devlogs for this game, so if you made it to the end of the devlog and read it all the way through, please leave "Thank You Lime!" in the comments below if you can! I think it'd be nice to give him support considering how much he's done for this game :)
