Hello people!
Today I bring to you a couple of renders I made quickly showcasing "The Salvage", a vandalised and unused robot on your vessel.
The salvage is located behind your office in the maintenance closet positioned right behind your breaker (I'll get to that some day). Over the course of your shifts, the condition of The Salvage will get worse and worse, making it more susceptible to the malignant code seemingly running rampant in the data banks.
If left unchecked or if too much bad data is uploaded/downloaded, The Salvage will start to malfunction and activate. Since this beat up robot is, well, beat up it won't be able to do much when you're in your office. However, The Salvage can very much be a problem if you have your backed turned on it, such as if you needed to use the breaker board. If you leave your back turned for too long or if you don't realise it activated, it's game over you.
I made these renders very quickly on my laptop, so sorry for the lack of more in depth renders. I also couldn't actually render out the finished version because the main files are on my pc, so if the model looks weird in any way, that's why. Also the gif is just a concept render like the last jumpscare just meant to show what I have in mind for the final one.
Now onto the map.
I've been working on the map a LOT over the past couple days, so expect to see some renders showcasing the new areas off real soon, and I mean it this time. So far only about a third of the map is left to be made and then the map is finished. Also, thanks to @RiZeGreen for help with the cameras (Expect to see some cool cam animations too) and for help with some ui elements. Go follow him, he's a great editor.
Now finally, onto the development status.
Yeeeeaaaah nah. The game is definitely not gonna be cancelled or anything but literally 0 progress has been made on the coding side of things. The coding progress has always been a little wishy-washy, and I think it's going to stay that way for a little bit longer. Don't worry about it though, hopefully we'll have some test demos or something like that out by the end of the year or beginning of next year, for now it's just me that has to do everything. Yay!
