Farewell! This game has been cancelled.

Hey, guys! I regret to inform you that this is the last update for this game.

In other words, I have decided to cancel TQfEL2, and any further installments in the TQfEL series.

“Why?”, you may ask?

Well, for starters, I planned this game to be too massive for the Scratch engine to handle. Scratch’s game creation software began to lag, and not run properly when I was only about ¾ into programming Iceland.

I was lucky to get Iceland done, but by the time I got to programming England, Scratch had given up. New glitches were popping up faster than I could fix them, and before I knew it, the game was barely playable.

Here’s what England would have looked like, had I managed to get it working:

Secondly, I programmed Iceland without even thinking of the other countries.

Therefore, England would have taken a very long time to integrate into the game’s programming, and even if I had managed to do that, there would also be France.

Thirdly, I lost interest in TQfEL.

This game became too boring to make. The story seemed pointless, and I didn’t really think that this was worth pursuing anymore.

Once I released the demo, I felt like I was done with this game. I also planned ahead, and I eventually became more interested in my possible future installments than I was about this game.

If you were wondering, I was going to make TQfEL3, and was going to call it “The Quest for Endless Life III: Alchemical Origin”. I also planned for it to be split up into three “parts”. After that, I wanted to make “The Quest for Endless Life IV: Your Story” which would be a sort of DIY TQfEL game.

Needless to say, I didn’t want to make TQfEL2 anymore. And I eventually decided to cancel the series as well.

Don’t worry, though. This doesn’t mean that I will stop making games. Game development is one of my favorite hobbies, and I will not stop now.

Honestly though, I had fun with this game, and it taught me a lot that I didn’t know about game development.

And for those of you who did like this game, I will probably begin development on a new game soon. Stay tuned!

Thank you for reading,
Superben100!

We are under attack!

"Our work is never over" they said.

One of the most critical update for Sunblaze demo. Now you are able to pet a cat! Finally!

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

not the greatest house, but it's a house! :D

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

I made a small jungle house.
