Game
Strafe Blaster 2

Finally getting back to some work on SB2. Right now I'm taking a crack and working through the over all look with some early texture tests here. Before it was a random assortment of stuff so I'm trying to have a more cohesive vision.

New screenshot, currently retexturing the first level. Still a bit to go before the level is feeling good.

Got some more environmental art in, also got a blaster model in the game too. Next step is cleaning up the base level textures then a few more props. Still have a few nights in October to work on environmental art!

New screenshots uploaded!

I wanted to try something with the textures. I'm a huge fan of old school 90s shooters sort of grungy pixelated textures. So I wanted to try and capture that but still have some color and pop into it.

Starting to work on the intro area for level 3. Still a ways to go in over all level design but needed to get some art going this week. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Worked through these little dudes as my enemies. Still need to work on gibs and the shot effects but I'm pretty happy with how these turned out. I also messed up my lighting, so I need to fix that. Feels good to be back at it!

New screenshot of the final level!

Final environment update for the week. Got some billboards in the game and started to add some of the companies to them. Excited to have next week for a few more environmental props then some GUI work. Debating if I'm going to investigate some lighting.

Just dropped a new trailer, all clips are from the early access build of the game.

This power up will increase the amount of fire power the player is capable of having. Since the core concept for the game is to keep the player moving around the map to collect resources each power up only grants a limited boost and decreases over time.
