@gamejolt has officially shut down Firesides...

If you're reading this in the far distant future of 2024+ and you have no idea what I am talking about, Firesides (ˈfərˌsd) were Game Jolt's own version of streaming, but it was so much more...

I wouldn't have grown as big of a following as I have without Firesides, for that I will be eternally grateful. I know some people simply don't care, thinking Firesides were just like any streaming platform, but they weren't.

It was the most unique streaming system I have ever seen and it lent itself to a sense of community seldom seen anywhere else. Only on Game Jolt could you have people join a stream for the fun of it and make friends for life. I met so many amazing people through this feature, it'll be missed by those hearts it touched.

@SandwichWare Thank you for having been the unofficial yet official main co-host to most of my streams, I may not have shown it as well as I could have but I always appreciated what you brought to the table in commentary and general vibe. I saw how you flew little shoe.

@MrPep När sommarn har börjat och ligger framför oss... While some people maybe never fully understood what we were talking on when we were on stream, we had fun, and that's what really counts, right? Swedish humour > English humour.

@Mitnick Beneath the Escape from the Conquest of the Battle for The Planet of the Apes. You're always a joy to have around, but you know that, I hope- Always felt natural to have you around because I can't imagine Game Jolt without you.

@FeralPossum Always felt like you and I could do Firesides for full days without getting tired, like when I played "Homo-balls", or we just worked on our own separate projects. It just felt right to stream with you, and we never even would have met if it weren't for Firesides! They really did make a monkey out of us.

@albinoblackbear Never going to forget when we made Trainboy54's Tourment on stream, that has got to be one of my favourite memories from this entire era, even if it was stupid. It's always amazing to have you in the room, we seem to be able to talk about any subject matter and make it interesting, even some sort of "JW" organisation... You truly are the best.

@_a_Dumb_Artist_ Originally you were "just" a mod in the chat, but with time it was clear that you were a important part of what made my and other people's Fireside's special. Thank you for the countless pieces of art and all the times you were host!

@PhantronGames Shhh... Shhh... It was always great to have you in Firesides as your Phantron branded dominance over large groups of people let you keep people on track. Always great talking to you.

@pleezylol You always make me twist my terror. Was always just chill having you on as we worked on our games or played something. Real eezy to enjoy your company!

@Pop478 I feel like somebody just rang the dinner bell! You were usually in chat, but you were always great at diffusing situations or lightening the mood with your humour. You could make anyone's day better. Maybe you were purer than the eggshell showed?

@DoggoMafia The Welcome To Freddyland streams were chaotic, yet a lot of fun! And outside of a certain Zimmy man, always a pleasure to host a stream with a visionary like yourself!

@Prongle_ Will tons of tons will? Ton. Your commentary on games and insight in making them gave streams you were some extra soul they were missing. Willton's will.

@devilspooptrap You were usually just in chat but your mere presence always lights up a room! Was always great seeing you work on your projects once you did step up on stream!

@hunterallen_ Always so cool seeing you work on your stuff, as well as hearing what you have to share. Always a positive impact on the moral and for that I thank you on the behalf of so many!

@BubyGamer11 Thee maker of thy Phantom Box... You've been on a couple of my Fireside's and its always been great, and I have done multiple streams playing your games, always fun!

@ArcH1ve Usually a voice of reason, having you around always made it easier to explain to people what was going on as you always seem to be in the know-how. Beyond your knowledge you just happen to be a great friend as well!

@SirFiftyFive I'll miss you popping into stream, saying something alongst the lines of "What?" and then leaving, very iconic. The times you did stick around were always a blast!

@GlitchyGlitched You weren't on many Firesides but when you were on you were ON. Always loved your engagement in it all. And you said I suck at games...

@Perrigate You're such a chill dude, having you on made my brain grow sunglasses. Never going to forget the charity stream we did together! I tip my mental sunglasses to you.

@Fredinator CHILL OUT!

Me and @SandwichWare had our final goodbyes to Fireside's and tried to compile as many inside jokes from our stream's as we could remember. It was actually quite emotional-

Thank you to everyone who ever was a host on my streams, there were so many it'd be impossible to include everyone but just know I am eternally thankful for your comradery.

Thank you to anyone and everyone that ever gave me a charged sticker on stream, sent messages in chat and even those who only lurked, watching the streams without saying anything.

I want to thank YOU, just because your name isn't on some silly special thanks list doesn't mean you didn't have a impact on them, we all did, we all made Firesides what they were and I want to thank you for it!
