GUIDANCE Monthly Devlog : January! #ScreenshotSaturday

Happy New Year everyone! ^.^

Hey everyone, I'll start with the best news first : the bug that caused RPG Maker to constantly crash is fixed! Not sure how many people even read that part, but it's important.

It means I can actually work effectively lol.

Now, if that's the best news, is the rest bad?

No actually, quite the opposite. I've done a few exciting things listed below.

I've updated some of the graphics a bit. It didn't make sense there were just random rocks in the basement, so I fixed it. Now they're bookcases on wheels instead.

These will appear earlier in the Basement level too, so you know what they are before this scene. Still finalizing where they'll be tho. If you have ideas feel free to share.

I finished the intro cutscene for Stu and polished it, super happy with the result!

I made a couple more maps and designed most of their visuals, they look great so far.

Speaking of which, I updated the tables and stools from chapter 1 to not look so out of place and ugly/simple when compared to recent graphics (a lot of stuff will be getting overhauls in the future)

I've also got a road map of how the Studio is going to play. Basically, I listed all the gameplay sections and cutscenes in-order. That's actually something I haven't done before, I usually just wing it.

Right now, the Studio looks to have about as many maps as the Basement, but it might be a bit longer since there's a lot more going on in each map.

That's most of what I'm ready to show you, but I've got a lot I'm really excited about! I've also been playing around a lot more with shadows and lighting ideas on some recent maps, so we'll see where that goes.

If you've been paying attention, you'll see I've been involved in a lot of stuff lately, aside from GUIDANCE, but I want you to know progress is still going strong! This month has been great all around! ^.^

With that, I hope you have a wonderful night, and again, have a Happy New Year! ^.^
