Happy Saturday! Time for a devlog!


Welp, I've been cookin.

So TFI has been under some MASSIVE revamps for a while now and here's one of the current areas under construction:

The Forest of Lies!

The Forest of Lies will be in the Southern Sector of Plender along with The Tower, it is completely optional but it's a fun place. Here's some screenshots:

(This is NOT final, everything here is subject to change. Also since this is screenshotted from playtests Amy and Matthew are not in the party.)

now those last three are a new area within The Forest of Lies that you'll need to figure out the entrance to on your own! But there will be a prize, maybe a power up?

Also, I've made a decision that will change a lot of Lucid, for the better of course! I have decided I am going to use RPG Maker MZ to develop Lucid!

Why? Well, for a couple reasons:

  • Autosaves

  • Names above dialogue

  • Manual Layering

  • Better character generator allowing to move facial features

  • When doing movement routes for cutscenes it previews what the event will do

Now most of these I could do in MV with plugins but them being built into MZ makes things easier and might help with performance, or so I've been told.

All these features should help make development just that little bit easier!

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.
