Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

I've talked with the team about how the game will progress. Communication is critical, but you must ensure others understand your intention.

I'm glad they understood my scribbles. Do you get what I've discussed based on the scribble?

It was a tough decision, but we decided to delay our game planned release.
