#GJAsks Hide and Shriek deserves SO much more attention! I'm not the type to play multiplayer games, but GOD I can't stress enough how much fun I had playing this game. The concept and the gameplay itself are so simple, but they work SO. FREAKING. WELL.

How do you deal with burnout? #Devruary

Honestly? I just... step away. Stop coding.

The irony is that as a game dev, I rarely have time to actually PLAY games anymore. So when burnout hits, I try to play games that are nothing like what I'm developing.

What's your favorite game that does a lot with a simple idea? #GJAsks Say No! More! The game is literally just pressing one button to yell "NO!" at your coworkers, and somehow that's one of the most cathartic and hilarious experiences I've ever had!

I'm working on something right now, but that didn't stop me from doing some sketches. I recently listened to my favorite songs...And introduced the AU Sans` as Genres of music.

Ink Sans like a Pop Music.

Fresh Sans like a Disco Music.

#Devruary What engine are you using in your current game? Unity! It has been my go-to tool for years now. It gets the job done and I know my way around it pretty well. But if Godot keeps walking by with that big open-source energy... 👀

The Witchspire Art Competition has come to Game Jolt!

What lesson did dev teach you the hard way? #Devruary Expect the unexpected.

That "quick fix" will take 5 hours. That "simple feature"? A week. An engine update? Congrats, something broke. Always expect chaos. Plan for chaos. Embrace chaos.

Which game dev inspires you most? #Devruary

Scott Cawthon. The man took a simple mechanic and iconic characters and created a CULTURAL PHENOMENON.

Don't agree with everything he stands for, but his creativity as a dev is undeniable.

Happy #WIPWednesday! Are you working on a game? Making some art? Practicing a song? Something else? Tell us in the comments!

How Do You Usually Plan A Game Dev Project? #Devruary First, I dump ideas into a paper notebook like a game dev from the stone age. Then I tame the chaos using draw.io, Hack'n'Plan, and Notion. This pipeline works pretty well for me!
