hello I wanted to reach back to you guys recently so I have decided to write a development log about this project to ensure you aren't missing out on too much.

tldr: I want to show you guys stuff so it's not gonna be like the FNF kickstarter.


So the first thing that I want to discuss with you is that this is my third time ever developing a video game with a team, so I kind of stink. though if you still wanna apply for this specific fangame feel free too. Right now we only have a team of four people so having others is an alright idea.

Also we haven't gotten much done but we have gotten lots of ideas

Anyways here is a sprite for papyrus Vikt3211 has made.

It isn't much but it's just a start.

This sprite will have many different expression while in the battle with the "POWERFUL PAPYRUS"

Speaking of Battles

We have collectively decided as a team that we will have enemy battles!

What this means is that for example since papyrus is killing everything he runs into in this game.

There is only going to be four monsters out of the twenty it would usually have in the Ruins area to be specific.

Speaking of the Ruins

We have gotten a spritesheet of the ruins done.

Now what we have decided is that instead of making entirely new sprites for everything we will be going and editing already existed sprites toby has made.

That way we save time during development and so we can all be more lazy.

If you couldn't tell I have added more layers of shading to add more depth. Some of the sprites are subjected to change though do to the new moveset.

Speaking of Movesets

We have decided to go change the existing moveset Chara has in normal Underswap

We have added the ability to Climb Walls, Crawl Down Crevises, Jump Over Two Block Gaps, And Running Faster Than Wind. These abilities will help you get your way to Papyrus much faster than before, and kill him because he's a boss.

Speaking of Bosses

We have decided to stray away from what is so common now-a-days. We have decided that we will only have Three Different Papyrus Fights. Because We don't want to fight him every area since then there is less variety and it makes the game more boring in my opinion.

So that is why we are going to create some new characters to fight as mini-bosses or bosses in general to make up for Papyrus killing the main characters.

Speaking of Papyrus Killing the Main Characters

We have collectively decided that Papyrus is not going to kill his brother Sans in Snowdin. as Sans will run away and then be killed in Hotland. That way you can have time to actually fight Sans in Waterfall instead of Alphys. It will also leave time for more exchanges.
