I call it a draw check and that's where ya draw a character at Least 3 different times that's Not a headshot/bust picture.
If you can draw them without struggling much or at all and you are enjoying drawing them then they're a keeper.
If not, then put them in a pile ya wanna call for those who aren't fun/easy to work with esp if you've never done much with them anyway.
Do this for all characters.
Make sure to break down each group into manageable ones so you don't overload yerself and do them when you feel like checking in. ~
What i do with reject/to be retired characters?
Simple, i pair them with another character and get 1 offspring from them.
I personally break them down into Tokota genes which has a guide here and then use the breed roller which you can access for free here. I'd recommand looking into the group, it's a nice place and a take things yer own pace ~
Once i translate character genes in ways that are unique to both characters (Doesn't matter if they're male/female honestly. Genes are genes tbh and i've paired same genders and such before) while keeping their genes seperate enough to tell them apart enough which helps for species info if they're not the same species or something.
This is just how I do it but ya can do it any way ya want. The draw check was the main highlight i wanted to share
It's a fun mini project while sorting and down sizing characters a bit.
I actually would love to do a video about this sort of thing to really explain but a written form is a good start.
Try a draw check and see how it goes fer ya ^ ^
