Design History

Dwarkite's design is based off the DRG dwarves' designs, Rocks and Stones, and a little bit of Arkeyan-like patterns.

Dwarkite is composed of rocks and stones, formed from the mountain of which he lived under; this mountain is Mt. Hoxxore, a large mountainscape spreading across a larger isle of islands, located in Skylands' farther regions — the mountain is full of large geodes, most of which the rock dwarves (and Dwarkite) live in.

The name of the mountain is inspired by the planet in Deep Rock Galactic, Hoxxes IV.

In his backstory, it mentions a Skyrite Refinery, made for refining Skyrite — a powerful resource found in the farther regions of Skylands that can give special powers to those it considers worthy.

This whole 'giving powers to worthy ones' thing may hint at each and every Skyrite having some form of sentience...or does it?

Backstory

There exists an ancient society of rock-made dwarves, still standing today, living deep in Mt. Hoxxore — Dwarkite was part of this society.

One day, while Dwarkite was mining away in the Skyrite Refinery, a gang of trolls had began an attack on the dwarven society, wanting to gain the powerful Skyrite, and had defeated nearly half of the dwarves' defense force.

When Dwarkite finished his spelunking, he saw the wreckage caused by the trolls...and in the middle of all it, was a chunk of Skyrite. Dwarkite decided to pick it up, and it reacted — giving him special powers. With these new powers, Dwarkite swore to his brothers that he would retrieve the stolen minerals, and so he ventured out of Mt. Hoxxore, in search of the trolls' mining outpost.

After a week, Dwarkite returned to his brothers with the stolen Skyrite, and he was announced, the Hero of the Skyrite Refinery. A few weeks later, Dwarkite named himself the Earth-Slayer, told his comrades goodbye, and began his Slayer journey...soon to become a Skylander...

And that's Dwarkite! I hope you like him as much as I do, because he's currently my favorite OC so far!
